No matter where you’re living or visiting, there’s likely dozens of excellent options nearby. This San Diego-born coffee shop – Dark Horse Coffee Roasters – has since expanded throughout Orange County and into Kaua’i, focused on direct-trade coffees and close relationships with farmers around the world. The result is a delicious cup of drip coffee served in industrial-chic digs.

Onyx Coffee Lab | Rogers, Arkansas

Northwest Arkansas now has four outposts of its award-winning Onyx Coffee Lab, starting with the HQ in Rogers that doubles as its barista training facility. As its name suggests, coffee is a science here, the experiment begins with traveling around the world sourcing the best, then roasting it in-house until the profiles are just right.

The Coffee House at Second and Bridge | Franklin, Tennessee

Downtown Franklin, Tennessee, is packed with historic homes-turned-businesses, and the Coffee House at Second and Bridge fits right in. The home was first built in 1904, now serving as a hotspot for caffeine, coworking, and conversation across its converted rooms and porches.
